WHY SHOULD I BE DEPRIVED OF BOTH IN ONE DAY?

// Read Genesis 27:43-46 //

43 Now then, my son, do what I say: Flee at once to my brother Laban in Harran. 44 Stay with him for a while until your brother’s fury subsides.45 When your brother is no longer angry with you and forgets what you did to him, I’ll send word for you to come back from there. Why should I lose both of you in one day?”

46 Then Rebekah said to Isaac, “I’m disgusted with living because of these Hittite women. If Jacob takes a wife from among the women of this land, from Hittite women like these, my life will not be worth living.”

MEDITATION:
Many of us have been deprived of multiple blessings in a day as a result of mismanagement of blessings. Many believers these days are like Rebecca who set a stage for the loss of her double blessings right early in age by her lack of understanding of details. What was supposed to be of blessings to many of us have become source of worry and trouble as a result of lack of wisdom.
The twins, Esau and Jacob the Lord gave Rebecca were not supposed to be a source of double sorrow, double affliction or double loss but she nearly lost both of them and that is why she cried “why should I lose both of you in a day”. When God gives you choices or multiples, you need to pay attention to the details of instruction so that you can reap the maximum blessings and benefit God has for you.

PRAYER: Oh Lord, do not let my multiple blessing turn to multiple sorrows in Jesus name.
