3 Uzziah was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-two years. His mother’s name was Jekoliah; she was from Jerusalem. 4 He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father Amaziah had done. 5 He sought God during the days of Zechariah, who instructed him in the fear[b] of God. As long as he sought the Lord, God gave him success.

MEDITATION:
The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. King Uzziah was instructed in the fear of God. The word “Fear” is not “to be afraid” but “to reverence or honour”. It is the fear of God that will make a Christian do what is right in the sight of God. Hebrew 5:7 declares that Jesus was heard because He feared God. Do you fear God?

PRAYER: Pray for the Spirit of the fear of God, so that you can please Him
