20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.
MEDITATION:
The stony heart is a heart that receives the Word of God with joy but has no root. It is a heart that
(i.) has no foundation.
(ii.) has not been taught the way of the Lord.
(iii.) It is not firmly rooted in Christ.
(iv.) Self is stronger than the will of God in such a life.
(v.) belongs to a very stubborn person.
(vi.) Finds it difficult to change to a new knowledge of God i.e. not renewed in mind.
Does this depict your life? Then, it must be changed if God will show himself strong on your behalf.
PRAYER: Pray that this will not be the picture of your heart
