5 When Saul saw the Philistine army, he was afraid; terror filled his heart. 6 He inquired of the Lord, but the Lord did not answer him by dreams or Urim or prophets. 7 Saul then said to his attendants, “Find me a woman who is a medium, so I may go and inquire of her.”
“There is one in Endor,” they said.
MEDITATION:
The life of Saul the king in this chapter of the Bible portrays the signs of backsliding in one’s relationship with God. From what we can make out of his life the following are obvious signs.
i. No more Divine Fellowship vs6-7
ii. Seeking Divine Alternative vs7
iii. Revival of what he had killed before vs9
iv. Disguising of Self vs8
v. Putting on of other raiments vs8
vi. Walking in the dark
vii. Appetite for demoniac food vs22-25
PRAYER: Pray against all these signs in your life.
