7 You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:
8 “‘These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
9 They worship me in vain;
their teachings are merely human rules.’[a]”
MEDITATION:
Worship is the total submission of your life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ in deed and in truth. When this is not done then false worship is inevitable. Attributes of false worship are:
i. Tradition that transgresses the commandment of God Vs3
ii. Lips service Vs8 (Drawing near to God by lips not with heart)
iii. Obeying the commandments of men as doctrines Vs9
Put away these attributes away in your life and be ready to worship Jesus in deed and in truth.
PRAYER: Oh Lord, I receive grace for true worship.
