17 To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’
“Cursed is the ground because of you;
through painful toil you will eat food from it
all the days of your life.
18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you,
and you will eat the plants of the field.
19 By the sweat of your brow
you will eat your food
until you return to the ground,
since from it you were taken;
for dust you are
and to dust you will return.”
MEDITATION:
Man needs by necessity and urgency to be regenerated by receiving Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour. What an unsaved man receives through Adam is very terrible, so there is a need for every man to repent of his sins and come to Jesus. The fallen man inherited:
- Cursed ground.
- Eating of sorrow all the days of his life.
- Production of thorns and thistles.
- Eating out of sweat.
- Return to dust instead of divine image.
So if you have not given your life to Christ you need to repent in order to be delivered from all these.
PRAYER: Pray for any unsaved around you so that they will be saved.
