6 He made the atonement cover of pure gold—two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide. 7 Then he made two cherubim out of hammered gold at the ends of the cover. 8 He made one cherub on one end and the second cherub on the other; at the two ends he made them of one piece with the cover. 9 The cherubim had their wings spread upward, overshadowing the cover with them. The cherubim faced each other, looking toward the cover.
Romans 9:15-18
15 For he says to Moses,
“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy,
and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”[a]
16 It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy. 17 For Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”[b] 18 Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.
MEDITATION:
You need God’s mercy in order to experience He operation, God is a God of mercy; therefore, we need not to forget that His mercy endures forever in our times. The Lord will have mercy on whom He will have mercy; it is not by qualification, rather it is of His mercies we are not consumed (Lamentation 3:22) His throne for now, is a throne of mercy, He sits on the mercy seat. So we need to always remember His mercy and to come unto Him by this understanding in order to receive of Him.
PRAYER: God of mercy, have mercy on me.
