WHAT THE CHURCH SHOULD BE IN THE WORLD (SATURDAY JUNE 12, 2021)

¹⁴ “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.

John 3:19

¹⁹ this is the verdict: light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.

MEDITATION:

The Church of God is in the world but she is not of the world. As part of the body of Christ, we need to understand what the Lord wants us to be in the world.

1. The Lord wants us to be the light of the world                  – Matthew 5:14; John 3:19

2. Enforcer of God’s will in the world                                   – Matthew 6:10; 26:42

3. Preach the Word in the world                                           – Matthew 26:13; Mark 16:15

4. Salt in the world                                                                  – Matthew 5:13; Mark 9:50

5. Enemy of the world                                                                        – James 4:4

PRAYER: Father Lord, I receive grace to be what you want me to be in the world.
