// Read: Exodus 4:1-3; Mark 6:8 //
Moses answered, “What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, ‘The Lord did not appear to you’?”
2 Then the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?”
“A staff,” he replied.
3 The Lord said, “Throw it on the ground.”
Moses threw it on the ground and it became a snake, and he ran from it.
Mark 6:8
8 these were his instructions: “take nothing for the journey except a staff—no bread, no bag, no money in your belts.
MEDITATION:
Every Christian must have a staff. A staff is what is in your hand, a symbol of authority, it is the processed stick. It signifies the following in the life of a Christian:
1. What you take only for the Journey – Mark 6:8
2. Emblem of Spiritual Authority – Zechariah 8:4-6
3. What you take along to deal with your Goliath – I Samuel 17:40
4. What brings Comfort – Psalms 23:4
5. A symbol of God’s Approval – Exodus 4:1-4
You get your staff in the presence of God as you stay in prayers.
PRAYER: Pray for grace to be in the presence of God through prayers.
