// Read: II Corinthians 10:3-10; Deut. 29:24; Num. 32:29 //
3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 6 And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.
7 You are judging by appearances.[a] If anyone is confident that they belong to Christ, they should consider again that we belong to Christ just as much as they do. 8 So even if I boast somewhat freely about the authority the Lord gave us for building you up rather than tearing you down, I will not be ashamed of it. 9 I do not want to seem to be trying to frighten you with my letters. 10 For some say, “His letters are weighty and forceful, but in person he is unimpressive and his speaking amounts to nothing.”
Deut. 29:24
24 All the nations will ask: “Why has the Lord done this to this land? Why this fierce, burning anger?”
Num. 32:29
29 He said to them, “If the Gadites and Reubenites, every man armed for battle, cross over the Jordan with you before the Lord, then when the land is subdued before you, you must give them the land of Gilead as their possession.
MEDITATION:
There are inner battles that man faces on a daily basis. These are invisible operations of the enemy within the mind of a man. This is the reason why the Scripture says, “casting down imaginations and bringing every thought to the obedience of Christ”. In order to overcome these battles, you need to maintain the right confession of the Word of God and consistently cast down evil imaginations from your heart. These inner battles are made up of
(i) Unbelief
(ii) Evil Thoughts
(iii) Evil Imaginations/Pictures
(iv) Fear (v) Evil/Wrong Passions
(vi) Demoniac Manipulations
(vii) Worries and Anxieties.
PRAYER: Cast the above down from your heart and life in the name of Jesus Christ.
