REVEALED WORD TODAY
// READ: 1 SAM. 1:19-22 //
19 Early the next morning they arose and worshiped before the Lord and then went back to their home at Ramah. Elkanah made love to his wife Hannah, and the Lord remembered her. 20 So in the course of time Hannah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel,[a] saying, “Because I asked the Lord for him.”
Hannah Dedicates Samuel
21 When her husband Elkanah went up with all his family to offer the annual sacrifice to the Lord and to fulfill his vow, 22 Hannah did not go. She said to her husband, “After the boy is weaned, I will take him and present him before the Lord, and he will live there always.”[b]
MEDITATION:
Vision is like a gestation period in life of a pregnant woman. As pregnancy changes the anatomy and physiology of a woman, so does vision bring changes to the ‘usual’ of a life. A change is inevitable when vision comes. Vision is like a new baby Samuel. The attention and sacrifice of Hannah was for Samuel and not Elkanah. Vision will change your focus and commitment, be ready for it.
PRAYER: Father, help me to change and yield to the fruits of my vision.
