they were merchants on the mighty waters.
24 They saw the works of the Lord,
his wonderful deeds in the deep.

LUKE 5:4
4 When he finished teaching, he said to Simon, “Push out into deep water and let your nets out for a catch.”

MEDITATION:
Wonders of God resides in the deep. No wonder Jesus said to Peter launch into the deep for a multitude of fishes. It is only those who can go deeper that can experience the wonders of God. The wonders of God are functions of a deep relationship with God. Refuse to operate at the shallow level this year, set out for a deep-sea experience of God. Wonders of God are in the deep not in the shallow dealings.
PRAYER: I receive grace to seek God deeper this year than before.
