REVEALED WORD TODAY
// Read: Number 21:5-7 //
5 they began to murmur against God and to complain against Moses. “Why have you brought us out of Egypt to die here in the wilderness?” they whined. “There is nothing to eat here, and nothing to drink, and we hate this insipid manna.”
6 So the Lord sent poisonous snakes among them to punish them, and many of them were bitten and died.
7 Then the people came to Moses and cried out, “We have sinned, for we have spoken against Jehovah and against you. Pray to him to take away the snakes.” So Moses prayed for the people.
MEDITATION:
Discouragement if not handled can bring the following into a life or family or business as contained in the story of the children of Israel.
i. Murmuring and wrong attitude to God and His servant – verse 5.
ii. It makes a man to focus on the ‘NO’, there is NO bread, there is NO water. What about when
God provided bread and water?
iii. It leads to sin and death verse 6-7.
You need to be careful, let the Word of God be your source of strength, then learn to appreciate God for what He has done in your life and believe Him for the rest.
PRAYER: Father Lord, deliver my soul from the force of discouragement in Jesus Name.
