16 Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt? 17 And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies perished in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed? 19 So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.

MEDITATION:
The Lord promises rest for His children but these are factors that hinder a man to enter into this rest:
1. Hardness of heart – verse 8
2. Unbelief – Verse 10 & 18
3. Lack of knowledge of the way of God – verse 10
4. Deceitfulness of Sin – Verse 13 & 17
5. Trying God – verse 9

Prayer: Pray that all these will not be located in your life to hinder you from entering into His rest.
