25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.

27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”

29 “Come,” he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

21 Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. 22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

MEDITATION:
The Bible says that a double minded man cannot receive anything from the Lord. Doubt is another tool in the hand of the devil. You can see by now that the major thing the devil plays with is the unknown or unseen. Doubt too only works in the area of the unknown. You can only doubt what you cannot see or do not know. This is why Hebrew 11:6 say “Without faith it is impossible to please God”. You can exercise faith in order not to fall for this wile of the devil. Not only that one will receive all his request from the Lord.

PRAYER: Pray for grace to grow in faith and not liv doubt
