REVEALED WORD TODAY
// READ: PHILIPPIANS 3:13-16 //
13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Following Paul’s Example
15 All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. 16 Only let us live up to what we have already attained.
MEDITATION:
Following Jesus in the real world will take you obeying the two rules specified by Apostle Paul in his discourse in the Epistle.
RULE 1: In Philippians 3:13-16
Rule of Dedication: If you are not ready to be dedicated you may not be able to follow. This is by forsaking all other commitment and giving Jesus total followership as a priority.
RULE 2: In Galatians 6:14-16
Rule of Consecration: It is not enough for you to be dedicated to divine course, you need to be ready to consecrate your life for the master. Consecration involves crucifixion of yourself and self-will, readiness to put God first irrespective of the price this will cost us.
PRAYER: Pray for the grace of God to be dedicated and consecrated to the Master.
