13 When Joshua had grown old, the Lord said to him, “You are now very old, and there are still very large areas of land to be taken over.
2 “This is the land that remains: all the regions of the Philistines and Geshurites, 3 from the Shihor River on the east of Egypt to the territory of Ekron on the north, all of it counted as Canaanite though held by the five Philistine rulers in Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath and Ekron; the territory of the Avvites
MEDITATION:
Most of the time when a man is considering what he has done, the Lord will be busy considering what he had remaining that he has not done. In chapter 12, Joshua was busy counting his victory over thirty and one kings but the Lord was saying there is yet much more to possess. You need to pray to be able to cover your ground in life before you grow old. Things God do consider in time that remains for man are:
(1.) people to impact (2.) assignment to be done (3.) time frame of life. (4.) Grace of Life (5.) battles to fight.
Jesus said it is finished meaning that He finished His own
PRAYER: Oh Lord, empower me to finish and to finish strong.
