// Read: Exodus 13:17-18, 14:5-12 //
17 When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, “If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.” 18 So God led the people around by the desert road toward the Red Sea.[a] The Israelites went up out of Egypt ready for battle.
MEDITATION:
In life, there will be the need to pass through the longer route to get to our destination instead of the shorter one. This is for our good. The children of Israel were not ready at all to face wars. They were not equipped physically, emotionally and mentally for it. They had been in captivity for years and needed to know the God of their fathers, the great and mighty one. The longer route is to help them not to harm them. Stop thinking that the way God is taking you is for evil. It is for good, only be patient and endure to the end and you will see that ALL things work for good!
PRAYER: God, give me the grace to be patient with you and accept your good plan for my life.
