CONTENT OF PAUL’S PRAYER VII

REVEALED WORD TODAY

// Read: II Timothy 1:1-5, Philemon 1:1-6 //
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, in keeping with the promise of life that is in Christ Jesus,

2 To Timothy, my dear son:

Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

Thanksgiving
3 I thank God, whom I serve, as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers. 4 Recalling your tears, I long to see you, so that I may be filled with joy. 5 I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.

Philemon 1:1-6
1 Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother,

To Philemon our dear friend and fellow worker— 2 also to Apphia our sister and Archippus our fellow soldier—and to the church that meets in your home:

3 Grace and peace to you[a] from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Thanksgiving and Prayer
4 I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers, 5 because I hear about your love for all his holy people and your faith in the Lord Jesus. 6 I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ.

MEDITATION:
Paul did not also limit his prayers to the Churches, there were certain individuals like Timothy and Philemon, sons in the Lord that he made mention of in his prayers always. Their success was his own success in the Ministry. Beloved, for one week we have considered the content of Paul’s prayer and you will agree with me that it is different from what Christians and Ministers of God pray for majorly today. This should not be, the testimonies should be more of the demonstration and manifestation of God’s power in spiritual things instead of otherwise. May the Lord Almighty revive His Church and help us to set the priorities right in Jesus name.

PRAYER: Pray for a mighty revival of values and priorities in the Church of God.
