5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.
MEDITATION:
Knowledge must be added to faith. The Bible says, “My people perish for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). Lack of knowledge can make one fall for the wiles of the enemy. It is therefore expedient to acquire knowledge in the areas you believe God for. For example praying to have faith is lack of knowledge! Faith comes by hearing the Word of God.
Prayer: Pray that you will make effort to acquire required knowledge.
